It's the classic "We met in a bar" story.
Melissa's side:
My dad was having a beer night at Pips
and we rounded up as many people as we could to go.
We had half the bar packed with friends and family
members. The other half of the bar also came out to
support the beer night. A couple of Ronnie's friends
work with my father so they also rounded up some people.
The bar was so packed it was tough to move around so
I decided to push my way through. On the way through
Ronnie said to me "there's a lot of traffic in here,
huh". I was like, "yah, whatever" and kept walking.
Although I thought he was cute I was trying to play
it cool. As the night went on and the beers went down
I finally got introduced to him. My dad was introducing
me to someone he works with while Ronnie was standing
next to him giving him the elbow. So, our first conversion
started off with me telling the worst joke ever, which
still cracks me up, although Ronnie hates it. Then
we just hit it off and started talking, he asked for
my e-mail address, I got a pen from my mom and I gave
it to him. And here we are.....
Ronnie's side:
My friends and I were hanging out at Pips for a promotion
for my buddy. I saw Melissa walk in and said
to my friend "I gotta meet this girl". It was really
crowded in the bar and when she was walking by I thought
I would say something to her. All I could say was something
about there being a lot of traffic in the bar. She
smiled and walked by me. Later I saw an opportunity
to meet her when her dad was introducing her to one
of my friends. I stood next to him and gave him
the elbow. He introduced me to her and we started
talking and just hit it off. I asked her for
her e-mail address and the rest is history. I
knew that night that she was the girl I was going to
marry! |
